Dampak dari erupsi Gunung Agung Bali, Lombok International Airport (LIA) Praya Lombok Tengah ditutup sementara Minggu (26/11) pukul 17.55 Wita sampai pukul 06.00 Wita. Sejumlah jadwal penerbangan pun dibatalkan, akibatnya sebagian penumpang memilih jalur darat.

Sebagian penumpang yang ditemui di terminal LIA, mengaku memilih jalur darat menggunakan bus. Karena ini murni bencana alam penumpang tidak persoalkan penundaan penerbangan ini.


Sementara itu, di terminal bandara tidak ada penumpukan calon penumpang pasrah dengan penundaan penerbangan tersebut. Jika alasan penutupan bandara  karena bencana alam letusan Gunung Agung Bali.

Sejumlah penumpang memilih menginap di hotel, sambil menunggu informasi dari pihak airline atau bandara, kapan bisa dibuka penerbangan lagi.

Pasca ditutupnya operasional Lombok International Airport (LIA) selama 12 jam, akhirnya dibuka lagi Senin (27/11) pukul 06.00 Wita. Operasional bandara milik Angkasa Pura I ini normal lagi. Hasil pantauan pihaknya, tidak terlihat abu vulkanik erupsi Gunung Agung.
