Status Gunung Agung Bali yang ditetapkan berstatus awas, tak terlalu mempengaruhi aktivitas wisatawan. Wisatawan ke Lombok  yang berdekatan dengan Bali tetap lancar, begitujuga sebaliknya. Kunjungan wisatawan tetap normal.


Diungkapkan oleh Kabid Pengembangan Destinasi dan Pariwisata Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata (Disbudpar) KLU Wayan Bratayasa, sejauh ini berdasarkan pengamatannya belum ada wisman yang mendominasi kapal cepat dari Bali menuju Tiga Gili.
Menurut data menifest penumpang kapal cepat di Kantor UPP Syahbandar Pemenang, setiap hari kapal cepat yang singgah ke Bangsal mencapai 40 unit hingga lebih. Tanggal 14 September lalu, total terbanyak yang menggangkut penumpang yaitu 2.598 orang, sedangkan yang meninggalkan Lombok Utara menuju Bali tercatat 2.615 orang.

Terlebih tempat penginapan di Gili, atau Lombok Utara secara umum sangat memungkinkan untuk menampung jika terjadi eksodus ribuan wisman.
Sementara itu, Ketua Koperasi Karya Bahari (KKB) Sabarudin pengelola jalur penyebrangan dari Bangsal menuju Tiga Gili juga mengungkapkan hal serupa. Pihaknya menilai angka penumpang yang hendak menuju kawasan pariwisata itu tercatat 2.500 orang perhari.
