 Gili Trawangan is one of the small islands visited by many foreign and local tourists, so no wonder if every day is filled by tourists. On this island is unique there is no motor vehicle, there is only cidomo (andong) and bicycle. But lately the existence of the bike began to interfere because the number is increasingly membeludak.

Hundreds of bicycles in the Gili Trawangan harbor area, curbed by the Gili Indah Village. Gili Trawangan adalah salah pulau kecil yang banyak dikunjungi oleh wisatawan mancanegara maupun lokal, jadi tak heran jika setiap harinya dipenuhi oleh wisatawan. Di pulau ini uniknya tidak ada kendaraan bermotor, yang ada hanya cidomo (andong) dan sepeda. Namun belakangan ini keberadaan sepeda mulai menggangu karena jumlahnya kian membeludak. 

Ratusan sepeda yang berada di areal pelabuhan Gili Trawangan, ditertibkan oleh pihak Desa Gili Indah. Sebab keberadaan sepeda itu terkesan semerawut yang justru dianggap merusak pemandangan di lokasi tersebut. Penertiban yang berlangsung sekitar pukul 08.00 Wita ini berhasil mengamankan setidaknya 100 lebih sepeda. 

Sepeda tersebut ditemukan disimpan sembarangan tanpa jelas siapa pemiliknya. Padahal pihaknya sebelumnya sudah mengimbau kepada penyewa dan pemilik supaya tidak meletakkan di sembarang tempat.

Sepeda yang sudah ditertibkan ini kemudian dibawa ke lapangan yang berada di belakangan pemukiman warga Gili Trawangan. Nantinya bagi pemilik yang merasa kehilangan sepeda agar mencari sendiri di lokasi tersebut.

Sementara itu, Ketua Komisi II DPRD Lombok Utara Tusen Lasima menanggapi langkah penertiban sepeda oleh desa, mengatakan mendukung penuh pihaknya mengapresiasi. Karena di depan menurutnya sangat berantakan apalagi pasca penertiban bangunan sempadan pantai.
