Consulate General of India Visits Lombok After US Ambassador / Konjen India Berkunjung ke Lombok Setelah Dubes AS / Cv. Albabianca Abadi

Lombok is now the center of attention for all foreign and local tourists, this year a lot of tourists visiting the island. In two consecutive days, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) the arrival of important figures of foreign delegations. After US Ambassador HE Joseph R Donovan JR received the Governor of NTB, the following day the Consulate General of India in Bali, R.O. 

 Sunil Babu visited Bumi Thousand Mosque and met with the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), TGH M Zainul Majdi. The mission of this consulate visit is to offer a scholarship program of S1, S2 and S3 education for the children of NTB who will be educated in India. Sunil Babu said the offer is a form of appreciation of a good Indian-Indonesian relationship. 

 Besides embodied in the field of educational and cultural cooperation, also the relationship between the two countries more closely, with the growing development of tourism sector. Travelers from India who travel to Indonesia, including NTB continues to increase.


It is only natural that the relationship continues to be enhanced and that Indonesia and India have much in common. In the same place, the Governor of NTB welcomes the offer of educational scholarship conveyed by the Consul General of India. Governor asserted, education is a fundamental aspect in nation building, including in NTB. 

 Therefore, his side is currently continuing to encourage the education sector, by developing various innovations to accelerate the progress of education, in order to give motivation to study hard and forge themselves. These two periods of governors marvel at the progress of education in India, even India is experiencing rapid technological developments. 

Viewed from its history, Indonesia and India have had close relations since before independence. The people of Indonesia and India in some ways have many similarities. In the history of Indonesian independence, India was the first country to give recognition, but there were differences in the history of colonialism. 

 English teaches or educates India, whereas what the Dutch do to Indonesia is really colonizing.  Sunil Babu berkunjung ke Bumi Seribu Masjid dan menemui Gubernur Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB), TGH M Zainul Majdi. Misi kunjungan konsulat ini salah satunya menawarkan  program beasiswa pendidikan S1, S2, dan S3 bagi putra-putri NTB yang akan menjalani pendidikan di India. Sunil Babu mengatakan, tawaran ini bentuk apresiasi hubungan India-Indonesia yang cukup baik. 

 Selain diwujudkan dalam bidang kerjasama pendidikan dan kebudayaan, juga hubungan antar masyarakat kedua negara semakin erat, dengan makin berkembangnya sektor pariwisata. Wisatawan asal India yang melancong ke Indonesia, termasuk NTB terus meningkat. 

Sangat wajar jika hubungan tersebut terus ditingkatkan dan lebihnya Indonesia dan India memiliki banyak kesamaan. Di tempat yang sama, Gubernur  NTB menyambut baik tawaran beasiswa pendidikan yang disampaikan Konjen India. Gubernur menegaskan, pendidikan merupakan aspek yang mendasar dalam pembangunan bangsa, termasuk di NTB.  

 Oleh karena itu, pihaknya saat ini terus mendorong sektor pendidikan, dengan mengembangkan berbagai inovasi untuk  mempercepat progres pendidikan, guna memberi motivasi agar giat belajar dan menempa  diri. Gubernur dua periode ini mengagumi kemajuan pendidikan di india, bahkan India mengalami perkembangan teknologi sangat cepat. 

Dilihat dari sejarahnya, Indonesia dan India telah memiliki hubungan erat sejak sebelum kemerdekaan. Masyarakat Indonesia dan India dalam beberapa sisi memiliki banyak kesamaan. Dalam sejarah kemerdekaan RI, India adalah negara pertama yang memberi pengakuan, namun ada perbedaan dalam sejarah kolonialisme. 

 Inggris mengajarkan atau mengedukasi India, sedangkan apa yang dilakukan Belanda terhadap Indonesia adalah benar-benar menjajah. Beralih dari masa penjajahan saat ini NTB sangatlah cocok untuk tempat berinvestasi karena banyak wisatawan yang berkunjung di tempat ini. Jadi tidak heran jika akhir-akhir ini banyak pejabat petinggi negara yang berkunjung di NTB.
