      Friday morning yesterday was the deadline for demolition of building owners who violated the beach area in Gili Trawangan.       Jumat pagi kemarin adalah batas akhir pembongkaran bagi pemilik bangunan yang melanggar area pantai di Gili Trawangan. Petugas yang disiapkan adalah sejumlah 400 orang dari aparat kepolisian, TNI, Satpol PP dan termasuk tukang yang membongkar. Sebelumnya sudah banyak pengusaha yang membongkar bangunannya sendiri. Pembongkaran ini sudah direncanakan sejak tahun-tahun sebelumnya, namun tidak pernah terealisasi.


      Pembongkaran bangunan di Gili Trawangan ini mendapat acungan jempol oleh sejumlah wisatawan khususnya mancanegara. Mereka justru tidak kelihatan terganggu, bahkan sebagian ada pula yang antusias. Jika dibongkar bangunan yang tergolong melanggar aturan demi kebaikan ke depan, semua orang bisa menikmati pantai dengan leluasa.


     Setelah dilakukan pembongkaran, pemerintah memiliki waktu selama 20 hari untuk terus meratakan bangunan dan menggangkut sisa-sisa pembongkaran itu. Kapal tongkang pun juga telah disiapkan dan dalam waktu dekat ini dikondisikan Gili Trawangan sudah bersih.
